What MYOPL does
Available today:
- Find places and people to play. Search courts, clubs, OPLs and open play sessions near you or while traveling, and find players by name or @username.
- Join the conversation. Every court, club and OPL has its own chat. MYOPL Messenger also handles direct messages and group chats.
- Events and RSVPs. OPLs schedule recurring sessions. Members RSVP Going, Maybe or No and can see who is going before they arrive.
- Record matches. Add teammates and opponents by @username and enter the score. A result counts only after another participant confirms it.
- OPL Rating. Every player gets a free rating, separate for singles and doubles, built from confirmed matches.
- OPL Intelligence. A built-in assistant for rules questions, help using MYOPL and your own stats.
- Siri. On compatible iPhones and Macs, ask "Ask My OPL what is my pickleball rating" or ask a pickleball rules question.
- Create communities. Players and organizers can submit new courts, clubs and OPLs. Submissions are reviewed before they are published.
- Invite people. Share a personal invite link or QR code. People who join through it can connect with the person who invited them.
MYOPL runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and the web at messenger.myopl.net. Siri works on compatible iPhones and Macs. A Windows app is in testing.

Each sport has its own scoring rules and its own separate ratings. Ratings never carry over between sports.
The OPL Rating
- What it is. MYOPL's own two-tier rating system: Tier 1 for recreational and open play, and Tier 2 for tournament ratings, available to partners through the developer API by request. It is not an Elo system.
- Pricing. Free. Every player can earn a rating at no cost.
- Separate ratings for singles and doubles. Each format has its own rating and its own evidence.
- Instant. A rating updates as soon as a match result is confirmed. Every rating comes from a confirmed result: one participant records the match, and another confirms it.
- Fair to doubles partners. Each doubles partner is evaluated independently, so playing with different partners does not drag down your own doubles rating.
- Reliability. Every rating has a reliability score showing how much confirmed evidence supports it, based on matches played and the variety of opponents.
- Explained. After every confirmed result, MYOPL explains why the rating changed.
- Only the games you choose. MYOPL rates only matches that players record and confirm, and keeps casual play separate from sanctioned tournament play.
- Displayed to four decimal places.
- What MYOPL does not publish: its weighting and its protections against manipulation, to keep ratings fair.
Leaderboards and seeding
MYOPL ranks every player at every club, court and OPL where they record confirmed matches. Leaderboards can be viewed by club, date range and format (singles or doubles). The Seeded Leaderboard requires MYOPL Plus or Elite.
While our primary focus is the social side of the game, we fully embrace the thrill of competitive play. That is why the core MYOPL platform remains free and accessible to everyone. We only charge competitive players when they want to climb the Seeded Leaderboard, track competitor stats, and unlock advanced insights powered by OPL Intelligence.
OPL Intelligence
- What it is. MYOPL's built-in AI assistant. Message it directly, mention @OPL in a chat, or use Siri on a compatible iPhone or Mac.
- What it does. Answers pickleball rules questions from MYOPL's validated copy of the 2026 USA Pickleball Official Rulebook, helps you use MYOPL, and explains your own match statistics.
- Privacy. It responds only to what you ask it and does not read your other private conversations.
- Your control. Each capability can be turned on or off in Settings.
- Age. Available to users 13 and older.
- Credits. Plus includes 350 OPL Intelligence credits per year. Elite includes 200 OPL Intelligence credits per month. Extra credit packs are available as one-time purchases.
- What's free. USA Pickleball Rulebook and MYOPL Help answers are free through Siri and through the public AI connection. Asking OPL Intelligence inside MYOPL uses credits. Free members get 50 OPL Intelligence credits, once.

Using MYOPL from other AI assistants
- Public connection (available). Any AI service that supports remote MCP connections can add

Accounts, age and privacy
- Creating an account requires being at least 13, a mobile phone that can receive SMS, an email address, a username and a location.
- Age verification. To change the date of birth on an account, MYOPL asks for photos of the front and back of a government ID. The photos are permanently deleted once the request is approved or rejected.

How MYOPL relates to other rating systems
Tournament ratings such as DUPR and UTR-P mainly measure sanctioned competitive play. The OPL Rating measures the recreational and open play games players choose to record. Players can use both: MYOPL keeps casual play separate from tournament results.
