Suggest a Court Edit or Claim a Court

Before you begin

You must be signed in and able to open the Court's information. A suggested edit and a Court claim have different results.

iPhone, iPad, and Android

Open Courts > My Courts and select the Court chat.
Tap the Court name or header to open Court Info.
To correct information, select Suggest an edit, change the necessary fields, and select Submit.
To claim an unclaimed Court, select Claim this Court, review the confirmation, and select Claim.

macOS and Windows

Select Courts from the side navigation and open the Court from My Courts.
Select the Court header to display Court Info in the information panel.
Select Suggest an edit and submit the correction, or select Claim this Court and confirm the claim.

Web

Open the joined Court conversation.
Open its information panel.
Use Suggest an edit from the joined Court information panel.

Do not rely on the edit or claim controls in a Court's Browse preview. Those web preview controls may not complete the action correctly. If the claim control is unavailable, contact MYOPL Support.

Expected result

A suggested edit is sent for administrative review. The live Court stays unchanged until an administrator applies the correction.
In the current Messenger flow, confirming Claim this Court on an unclaimed Court grants Court manager access immediately.

Important limitation

The generic claim confirmation may mention email matching or administrative review. That description does not match the current Messenger Court-claim result. Only claim a Court when you are authorized to manage that location.

If an action is missing

Join the Court and open its conversation before opening Court Info.
Claim this Court appears only for an unclaimed Court.
A Court already managed by another person may require help from that manager or MYOPL Support.
If an edit was submitted, there is no pending-changes tracker or guaranteed review time.
