What can you ask MYOPL through your AI assistant?

MYOPL connects your AI assistant to published pickleball ratings, officially licensed rules, places to play and your own account features. Ask in everyday language: the assistant uses a MYOPL tool to retrieve information and returns an answer with a MYOPL source link.

Choose public information or your own account

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives an AI assistant a defined way to request information from MYOPL. Each tool has a purpose, named inputs and a structured response that the assistant can turn into an answer or a rating card.

ConnectionWhat you can ask forHow to use it
Public MYOPLPublished player ratings, pickleball rules, courts, clubs, open play and MYOPL guides.Add https://api.myopl.net/mcp in an assistant that supports remote MCP. Public access is free, with no MYOPL account or API key.
Your MYOPL accountYour rating, your statistics, your next league session and an RSVP for you to confirm.Add https://api.myopl.net/mcp/personal and sign in with OAuth. Personal connections are available with MYOPL Plus and higher plans and use the permissions you approve.

How to connect directly to MYOPL

  1. Open the connectors or MCP settings in your AI assistant and add a remote server named MYOPL.
  2. Paste the public connection URL and choose access without authentication. Developers can also use the install command in a supported client environment.
  3. Start a chat and ask: “Use MYOPL to find pickleball courts in Jupiter, Florida.” Follow a MYOPL link in the answer to explore a listing.
  4. Connect your own account: add https://api.myopl.net/mcp/personal, select OAuth, sign in to MYOPL and approve the permissions you want to use.
  5. Ask: “What is my pickleball OPL Rating?” Your personal connection uses the MYOPL account you approved.

Terminal command
npx add-mcp 'https://api.myopl.net/mcp'

Use your preferred model or inference endpoint

You can also build an assistant around your preferred model provider, a hosted inference endpoint or a local model. Your AI application connects two services: the model generates the conversation, and its MCP client calls MYOPL for ratings, rules and places to play.

For example, with Hugging Face Inference Endpoints, deploy a model suited to tool use, then configure its endpoint and provider credentials in your agent application. Add MYOPL as a remote MCP server in that same application. The application passes tool definitions to the model, executes its requested MYOPL calls and returns the results for the answer.

Use the free public endpoint for public information. For personal tools, your application completes MYOPL OAuth separately for each user. Keep model-provider credentials in the model connection and MYOPL access tokens in the MYOPL connection.

Five tools for your connected MYOPL account

Ask your assistantMYOPL toolWhat comes back
“What is my pickleball OPL Rating?”get_my_ratingYour current singles and doubles ratings and public rating totals. With statistics permission, the same request also supplies your complete MYOPL card.
“When is my next session in this MYOPL league?”get_my_next_sessionThe next session date and time for the league you identify. Share its MYOPL link so your assistant can use the exact league identifier.
“Prepare a Going RSVP for my next session in this league.”prepare_my_rsvpA MYOPL confirmation link. Open it, review the session and attendance choice, then confirm in MYOPL.
“Did MYOPL confirm the RSVP I just approved?”get_my_action_statusThe state of that prepared action. The assistant uses the action identifier from the preparation step.
“Show my pickleball statistics: games, points and reliability.”get_my_statistics_cardYour singles and doubles statistics card and a text summary with a MYOPL source link.

Read your rating with its context

  • Keep singles and doubles separate. Each format has its own published OPL Rating and statistics.
  • Read the exact rating together with the Reliability Score, games played, games won and lost, and points won and lost.
  • An unrated format has no published rating. An unknown total is different from a recorded zero.
  • Use the MYOPL source link to read more. The player’s unique Messenger link opens the next step for connecting with that player.
  • Ask for a fresh MYOPL lookup when you want the current rating. The same figures can appear in text and in one card in an assistant that supports MCP Apps.

From a question to your next game

  1. Ask for courts or clubs in a named city, state or country, then open a returned MYOPL link.
  2. For your own league schedule, connect your account and provide the league link.
  3. Ask your assistant to prepare yes, maybe or no for the next session.
  4. Review and confirm the proposed RSVP on MYOPL. Ask the assistant to check the action status after confirming.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign in to look up a public player rating?

No. Public MYOPL rating lookups are free and use an exact public username. Your personal connection identifies your own account through OAuth.

Do I need to type tool names into my AI chat?

No. Ask in everyday language. Your assistant selects a MYOPL tool and supplies the inputs, such as a username, location or league identifier.

How do I approve an RSVP prepared by my assistant?

Open the MYOPL confirmation link returned by the assistant, review the session and attendance choice, and confirm. The assistant can then check whether MYOPL completed the action.
